The Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA) today announced the launch of a package of discounts for young tourists to travel to Jerusalem on a city break. Aimed at millennials in their twenties and thirties, the discount package allows millennials to experience some of Jerusalem’s top attractions and offers a wide range of exciting reductions on hotels and transport, historical tourist sites, festivals and events, restaurants and bars. The new millennials package, offers young professionals traveling for business or pleasure, the opportunity to discover Jerusalem for under 40 Euros per day.
Alongside the city’s 3,000 years of history, for the discerning and well-traveled millennial, Jerusalem provides an exotic location with a vibrant nightlife and cultural scene, and is just a short haul destination for tourists from the UK and Europe.
Jerusalem has many attractions for culture lovers and offers an array of events and festivals that take place throughout the year. Through the package, millennial tourists receive 50% off the second ticket at the Night Spectacular, a 45-minute show celebrating Jerusalem’s history through sights and sounds. It takes place amidst the archaeological remains in the David Citadel’s courtyard, and to the sound of original music, virtual reality images tell the stories of King David, the Roman conquest, Muhammad, the Crusaders, and Suleiman the Magnificent, among other people and periods.
The offers includes a free tour of the Old City with Sandemans New Europe Tours as well as 50% off the second ticket at the Tower of David Museum. Also known as David’s Citadel, it is one of Jerusalem’s most well-known sites and rests on the ruins of fortifications made by the Israelite, King David.
