Fendi Cruz: I’m a sofisticada. My signature is I say very big, bold and bossy things in a very soft spoken sort of way.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your vision for your career? Where do you hope to go with it?
Fendi Cruz: I want to get big enough to have the power and financial freedom to be able to help the most needed in my country DR and the poorest countries all around the world by creating foundations and donating for kids with cancer.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What does your music represent or what is your message?
Fendi Cruz: It represents all independent, smart, ambitious boss ladies out there that value themselves and know their worth.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How has God played a part in your career?
Fendi Cruz: I was always very concerned about the music industry because I know what women had to go through to make their dreams come true. But Luckily, God put the right people on my path and here we are. Making dreams come true in less time than I expected..
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your greatest passion in life?
Fendi Cruz: I love the camera, I love making people dance, I love seeing people’s energy when they listen to my music. It never gets boring when you do what you love.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced as an artist?
Fendi Cruz: Sacrifice. A LOT of sacrifices… I had to learn how to be patient, disciplined and persistent. Some people that you think are your friends and you think they are rooting for you are really rooting against you and your success. That kinda hurts and makes me sad because I love to see all my friends succeed. You find out the hard way that everybody isn’t really your friend and that’s one of the most difficult challenges.

Fendi Cruz: The love and support I’ve been getting from people since I dropped my debut song and video. It feels amazing making people feel proud of you. That offsets the disappointments and challenges from your previous question..

Fendi Cruz: Being relatable is most important because real recognizes real. Also, being consistent, disciplined and creating quality music.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Why is music an important part of life?
Fendi Cruz: If music didn’t exist there would be no life. Music is the stimulation of people expressing their emotions. Music is what connects with the emotions of the human being.
Beverly Hills Magazine:: Do you have a life motto, quote or scripture you live by?
Fendi Cruz: “Believe in yourself and see magic happen” & “Do what makes you happy and forget people’s opinions” 🙂
Beverly Hills Magazine: What advice would you give to aspiring singers?
Fendi Cruz: Believe in yourself, focus on your dreams and chase them until you get there. Nothing is easy in life, otherwise everyone would make it. But consistency and discipline are the keys to make it happen. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it and if they do, let that be your motivation.

Fendi Cruz: Yes, one of them is to inspire others to follow their dreams and be a motivation. I want women to know their worth and to never settle for anything less.
