Many experts believe that electric vehicles will be the future of the transportation industry. This is due to several factors, including the need to reduce carbon emissions and the increasing demand for environmentally friendly vehicles. People see electric vehicles (EVs) as a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
The luxury car brand, Lexus, owned by Toyota, has also taken interest in this trend and is actively striving to create its own electric cars. Furthermore, Lexus has already unveiled the LF-30 Electrified Concept. It was initially presented in 2019, as one of their concept EVs. The Lexus EV concept is a successor to the iconic LFA supercar.
SPEED
The Lexus EV concept represents Lexus’ vision for a fully electric, high-performance sports automobile capable of accelerating to 60 kilometers per hour in two seconds to exceed a distance of 430 miles. The use of solid-state batteries makes this possible. In addition, it demonstrates an innovative development in its design approach.
It matches superior aerodynamics with captivating elegance and careful attention to the slightest details. Definitely something you would see in a Keanu Reeves movie. But that is not all about this sweet ride, the engine is also worth looking out for.
ENGINE
This new project began with some of the Lexus engineers reflecting on what they really liked about traditional IC (Internal Combustion) automobiles. As well as what they might be missing out on when it comes to electric cars and the manual transmission – which was one thing they particularly enjoyed. There is nothing that can be more engaging for a passionate driver than the person being able to shift gears with just the precise amount of torque when he wants to.
SOFTWARE
Lexus designed the EV concept with a software-based approach. Lexus reproduced the driving experience of various beakers and let drivers select their favorite mapping. The software would fully manage this system as one of many electrified sports. Others include direct4, brake-by-wire, steer-by-wire. This creates a new level of customization, delivering a personalized experience for each driver. It is just another way of radically enhancing the appeal of performance sports cars.
PERFORMANCE
Aggressive acceleration, hard braking, and steep driving require a greater amount of traditional gasoline energy, much like the traditional fueled cars. But unlike traditional fueled cars, Lexus electric vehicles, however, are made for better performance at slower speeds on streets and roads where most of the regular driving occurs. As opposed to traditional vehicles that are most efficient at faster speeds on highways. You don’t need Keanu Reeves to be in one before you can tell they’re cool.
Overall, the Lexus EV concept is a clear indication that the automobile industry is moving toward electric vehicles. Luxury car brands like Lexus are also making strides in this area. Visit the Lexus website for more information.
