Meet The Team
Co-founders and long-time friends, Aron Marquez and Abraham Ancer had a strong passion for tequila. So, they decided to create an amazing brand that honored their Mexican heritage and tasted incredible too.
In 2022, Ancer and Marquez approached the actor, producer, and businessman, Mark Wahlberg to join the Flecha Azul company. Mark believed in the co-founders and the amazing craftsmanship behind the product. According to Mark, he loved that both Acner and Marquez were family-oriented, self-made guys. He also loved their passion for tequila. So, Mark joined in as a principal investor, actively supporting the growth of the brand.
Marquez, who immigrated from Mexico, is now the CEO of a leading Oil Company, Wildcat Oil Tools. Ancer, raised in Mexico, is currently ranked as the number 1 Mexican golfer in the world. So, the two, along with Mark Wahlberg, have pursued the passion for their undeniable love for Tequila, through Flecha Azul Tequila. Moreover, this tequila company is one of the few Mexican-owned and authentically operated tequila brands in the world.
The Mission
The mission of the founders of Flecha Azul is to produce the best tequila in the world. So, to achieve this mission, the founders knew they needed the best Agave in the world. Moreover, the company grows Agave in the heart of Tequila, Jalisco, which is quite popular for its unique soil and produces the best Blue Weber Agaves in the world.
The Process
Just like other tequila products, Flecha Azul’s making process is time-taking. So, here is the complete process involved in the making of Flecha Azul :
- The Field – The place where Flecha Azul is born is more than 5,000 hectares of land. The lands are also beautiful and calm. They are present on the slope of the historic Jalisco Voloano.
- Harvest – The harvesting and selection of the Agave Azul is done at full maturity, 8 years old.
- Cooking – The plants are cooked in traditional masonry ovens to release a delicious sweet substance, known as Mosto.
- Fermentation – Afterwards, the Mosto is moved into the fermentation process, where it remains for 72 hours to ferment into alcohol. It then goes through two distillations to transform into Flecha Azul.
- Aging – During the final process, the tequila is first stored in the aging tanks and then placed into exclusive barrels for the aging process.
Products
Two of the most famous products of the company are the Flecha Azul Blanco and the Flecha Azul Cristalino.
Flecha Azul Cristalino
Flecha Azul Cristalino is an excellent-tasting and ultra-smooth tequila. Moreover, it is triple-filtered to produce the same approachable, easy, and bright characteristics of the Blanco Tequila. However, it still maintains its unique taste of dried herbs and pineapple. Mark himself personally invented this one!
Flecha Azul Blanco
Flecha Azul Blanco is the foundation of Flecha’s tequila expressions. It has an overall balanced profile and a bright flavor. A balanced flavor also results in an expressive spice and the cooked agave gives way to honey-sweet floral notes.
