Twelve years ago Sylvia’s mother Celia E. Allen passed away from pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 25, 1927 and in her honor Sylvideo Productions, LLC.-the Future is having it’s very 1st Annual Fundraiser for one of the most difficult types of cancers to survive. The median survival duration from the time of diagnosis until demise is arguably the worst of any of the cancers – certainly of the major cancers. The median survival for untreated advanced pancreatic cancer is about 3 1/2 months; with good treatment this increases to about six months, though many will live much longer and Celia did. She fought her battle with pancreatic cancer for nine months with excellent treatment. Sylvia believes with more research we can slow down the demise rate and or eliminate this type of cancer altogether through research. “My mother loved bowling and taught me how to bowl when I was 5 years old so I’m honored in care of Sylvideo Productions to launch our 1st annual fundraiser for pancreatic cancer research.” Part of the event’s proceeds will be donated to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, New York 11714
