Not only does he create all of his own beats and pen his heartfelt lyrics, but he also plays guitar, piano, and is undertaking learning saxophone. His one of a kind sounds has pushed his cumulative plays past the 200-million-mark, and this is just the beginning.
Beverly Hills Magazine: When did you discover your passion as an artist?
Jake Miller: When I was a senior in high school, I saw Mac Miller making music with his friends, and I was inspired. We had some similarities, we were all young, white suburban kids and I realized I wanted to do that. I wanted to create music, be famous, and tour the world with my friends. So I pushed myself and started learning to play instruments and to sing. I was actually rapping before I sang.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your vision for your career? Where do you hope to go with it?
Jake Miller: The goal has always been to sell out arenas, and eventually break out into film and movies. No matter what though, I will always be making music.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced as an artist?
Jake Miller: Other people trying to step in and change me, and change the music I’m making. I’ve written a song about it called “Puppet,” you should check it out…

Jake Miller: When an artist stays true to themselves, whether they have one fan or a billion.

Jake Miller: My Dad always taught me that if you’re a good person, good things will happen to you.
Beverly Hills Magazine: I see you’re close with your family. Why are family values still important today?
Jake Miller: With all the stuff going on today, you can get caught up in the wrong things. Parents know best and mine instilled good morals in me. I’m really grateful to have such an amazing family. It’s important to listen to your parents as long as they’re teaching you good things.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Do you hope to get married and build a family of your own one day?
Jake Miller: Absolutely.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Why is commitment important in a relationship?
Jake Miller: Any relationship is nothing without commitment, whether you’re chasing a dream or in a personal relationship. You have to commit 100%, and always be honest.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes a woman beautiful to you?
Jake Miller: I think someone with a sense of humor, who isn’t materialistic, and who value friends and family as much as I do. That’s beautiful to me.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What advice would you give to aspiring singers?
Jake Miller: It’s tough. If you’re gonna try it; you have to have tough skin.
Beverly Hills Magazine: When God allows someone to be promoted it is usually because He has a great purpose for their life, especially as an influencer. How do you plan to use your platform and position in the spotlight as a force for good as opposed to evil in this world?
Jake Miller: I definitely want my music and my voice to be a force for good. Especially when I release new songs and I see so many people listen to it. I want it to be a light and have a positive impact.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Anything else you feel is important to share?
Jake Miller: I just want to tell my fans how much I appreciate them. Some of you have been with me since I started in 2011 and I just want to say thank you.
