Candace Cameron Bure is a darling for TV with her appearance in the show ‘Full House’ and its sequel, ‘Fuller House’. In our Hollywood Spotlight, we will look at her journey and what happened after the role of DJ Tanner.
Early Life
Candace Cameron Bure had a start in Hollywood with small roles in films like St. Elsewhere and Who’s the Boss? She soon landed a role in the popular sitcom Full House as Donna Jo (D.J) Tanner.
While playing her character on Full House, she got featured in the adventure comedy, ‘Camp Cucamonga’. She appeared in the popular show, Bill Nye The Science Guy as ‘Candace the Science Gal’ and played a small part in the movie ‘Punchline’.
Career after Full House
After the end of Full House, Candace was a guest in Cybill and Boy Meets World. She appeared in NBC movies like No one Would Tell, She Cried No, and NightScream before taking a hiatus to focus on her family.
In the 2000s, she appeared as an interviewee on I Love the ‘80s and I Love the ‘80s Strikes Back. Around 2007, she was a guest in the sitcom, That’s So Raven. She also co-starred with Randy Travis in The Wager before returning to TV in 2009 for ‘Make It or Break It’ which ended in 2012.
In 2016, she went on to reprise her role in Fuller House where she is now known as D.J. Tanner-Fuller. The announcement of her reclaiming this role was great but it led to clashes between Fuller House, Hallmark Channel Projects, and her family life. Fortunately, she was able to complete the filming for Fuller House which concluded on June 2, 2020.
