Stan Spry is one intelligent, ambitious and powerful Hollywood executive. As CEO of The Cartel Entertainment Company, a management & production studio in Los Angeles, Stan Spry is on the rise to join the Hollywood big leagues.
What began as an internship for now VP of Warner Brothers, Stan learned a lot and learned quickly. He became inspired to become a figure head in Hollywood though by being on set and watching successful producers drive up in their Bentley’s, he was determined for great success. He set out to learn as much as possible so that he could leave his own mark in the business.
And he is doing just that, as head of his own company called, The Cartel, which is currently in development of their own multimillion dollar studio complex near Paramount Studios, and is slated to produce 12-15 movies in the next year alone. Also under his corporate umbrella, The Cartel operates a full management company, which works directly with producers, directors, and writers assisting and managing them in achieving their career goals as well.
Growing up, Stan admired his father’s dedication to helping other people, and this integrity and personal mission has stayed with Stan through his professional endeavors. “Our company offers service that others don’t. When we can bring happiness to other people’s families and lives by helping them make their dreams come true, it’s nice to know we have been a part of that. It’s very rewarding.”
The CartelWhen asked what he thinks of Hollywood, this is what he said: “There is such a demand for good content today and so many available platforms, including new digital media, that there now exists more opportunities in Hollywood than ever before, for anyone who is willing to get out there and make it happen.”
What advice would you give to other aspiring producers? “The way to have the most power in Hollywood is to build and always be expanding your network and relationships. To be able to call someone, who might know someone, who knows someone to get what you need, is priceless. Always strive for something great. Anyone can be average, but greatness takes effort. And of course, be willing to learn. Start somewhere, as an assistant, an intern, anything, but get started and work for your success.”
