Beverly Hills Magazine: Tell us a little bit about yourself…Where you grew up, family, currently living, hobbies, etc?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We grew up in a typical Italian family in Florence Italy, where we were taught important values as family, loyalty, integrity and of course the passion for shoes! Our greatest hobbies are related to the arts world as Valentina is a former opera singer and I’m interested in fine arts.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How did you get into the fashion industry?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We have always been living inside the fashion world, since our brand was established in 1937 by our grandfather, so it has been pretty natural for us to take over the family business and discover this incredible industry!
Beverly Hills Magazine: Who or what are your inspirations?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We get inspired by so many things! First of all, thanks to our job we have the opportunity to travel and see the trends among the most cosmopolitan cities. Then most of the ideas take place between a continuous brainstorming among us.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What inspired the launch of your brand?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: The dream of dressing the feet of women like us: for decades we have been making comfortable and elegant shoes for more mature women, and when we created Valentina Rangoni, we wanted to give the same sensation to a younger generation.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is the mission behind the brand?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We are inspired to create feminine, stylish shoes that still can be worn all day long. Our mission is delivering to women shoes made and designed by women. To make them dream, feel feminine and elegant without the uncomfortable side.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How do you hope to transform the fashion world with your work?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We have a very precise aim about this topic: we want women to dress up for themselves, as we believe that a girl should try first to impress and like herself before trying to impress the others. When we design a pair of shoes, we think of a world where self confidence and acceptance are as important as appearance.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Tell us about your creative design process?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Looking around, discovering, listening to the consumers. After that we do a big research on materials and new constructions. Then we start designing.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes your work unique?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We have some great strengths: first, we are a new brand backed up by a great history. We always use the synergy between our craftsmanship and our experience in sizing, fitting, and comfort plus we combine it with the new creative wave.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your signature as a designer?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: We have just created a new sole and insole of an intense but still light blue that is giving to our products a very iconic and catchy look.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you think of the Fashion World?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: It’s a tough world, and many times it is so unpredictable. But this is also what made us fall in love with it: once you’re in, you never can get enough!
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you love most about it?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: The possibility with our designs to change in some way our customers’ life: we really believe that what you wear can change the way you face a day and the way you communicate yourself to the others.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you dislike about it?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Falsehood. And the fact that fashion is synonymous of perfection: for us fashion is about dressing the heterogeneity of the world.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your favorite item to design?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Shoes of course!!!
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your definition of style?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Being timelessly chic. It is not about a seasonal trend, is about a person who is able to transmit through its clothes and its personality; it’s being elegant throughout the years, as our brand does.

Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: A fun collection characterized by the combination of many different materials that make every shoe a statement shoe. They will find styles to cover every occasion, all extremely detailed and with high fitting!
Beverly Hills Magazine: What advice would you give to aspiring fashion designers out there?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Dare! And if you have an idea, keep pushing. Persistence is as important as talent.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Have you discovered a personal purpose in your contribution to the world?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: Not yet, we are still very young and learning where is our place in the world. But we are sure we will get there, we really want to give my contribution to human society.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you hope to be remembered for most?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: To have been good sisters making people a bit happier in their life.
Beverly Hills Magazine: If you had one wish, what would it be?
Carolina Rangoni and Valentina Rangoni: To make the world fair, where everybody could play a fair game.
As two darling Italian sisters who have some very big shoes to fill (pun intended) we think they are on the right track to keeping the RANGONI brand relevant and righteous. After all, this world needs more of that, shoes and saints.
