Beverly Hills Magazine: Tell us a little bit about yourself…Where you grew up, family, currently living, hobbies, etc?
Pia Gladys Perey: I grew up in a country town in the Philippines called Tagaytay. I was raised by my very fashionable grandmother who made me watch her make dresses for me and my sister. She was and still is my fashion icon.
I am a single mom of 4 and loving my new life here in Los Angeles. I love spending time with my kids and my friends and I am very much into period films.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How did you get into the fashion industry?
Pia Gladys Perey: My grandmother was the one who introduced me to fashion but when she passed away when I was really young, I did what was expected of me to do and studied Political Science and Philosophy as my pre-law degree. However, when I decided to have my son at a very young age, I literally woke up one day with the urge of working in fashion. I made the decision to get in the industry and since then, I never looked back.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Who or what are your inspirations?
Pia Gladys Perey: My main inspiration is the woman. How versatile, strong and beautiful she is. How she is able to wear so many hats and give so much love and sensitivity to the world through what she chooses to do. I also love travelling and visiting new places. Learning about new cultures and emerging myself to different traditions always inspire me to create new collections.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What inspired the launch of your brand?
Pia Gladys Perey: I saw a niche market for comfortable yet elegant and timeless clothing which serves the promising and growing aspirational market. I love offering the experience that comes with fashion, how it makes women feel empowered and beautiful, I wanted to share that with everyone through my designs.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is the mission behind the brand?
Pia Gladys Perey: To promote and make everyone see more how beautiful women are at any shape, size and colour they are in. Diversity and inclusivity should not be a decision that people need to make anymore, it should be a part of our social norm.
Beverly Hills Magazine: How do you hope to transform the fashion world with your work?
Pia Gladys Perey: I would like for more people to see that beauty comes in all sizes, shapes, forms and age. Fashion is a celebration of not just one type of person but of everyone.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Tell us about your creative design process?
Pia Gladys Perey: I get inspired by conversations, film and travel. I love being around people that feed my creative energy so after being inspired, I would come up with a slogan for a collection and work around out and dress the woman who envibe that collection. In the past, we have used slogans like “The Leading Lady”, “The Heroine” and many more then I design based on how beautiful I see the character in.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes your work unique?
Pia Gladys Perey: My work is unique in the sense that it is very timeless and effortless. My pieces moves with the woman, it is not constricting, it is a celebration of who she really is.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your signature as a designer?
Pia Gladys Perey: I am known for a while now for my draping. It flatters most figures so my clientele loves it.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you think of the Fashion World?
Pia Gladys Perey: It is such a huge force and people do not even know how much a part of it is in our lives. I can see that it is becoming more inclusive and I hope it will continue to gear towards that direction.

Pia Gladys Perey: How it welcomes all talents and form of self expression.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you dislike about it?
Pia Gladys Perey: Just like with everything, it is a beautiful gift and I wish people will use it more to promote positivity.

Pia Gladys Perey: Gowns, I love making gowns with very sexy backs.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your definition of style?
Pia Gladys Perey: Style is not fashion. Style is developing a look that suits you. It is self-expression mixed that is made to please oneself and most people.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes clothing beautiful?
Pia Gladys Perey: Quality, cut and how it makes the person wearing it feel beautiful.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What can our readers look forward to from your future collection?
Pia Gladys Perey: I just launched a new line that is more accessible for the market. It is currently in store!
Beverly Hills Magazine: What advice would you give to aspiring fashion designers out there?
Pia Gladys Perey: Work hard. Fashion has been always viewed as the industry that parties. So work hard before you party hard.
Beverly Hills Magazine: Have you discovered a personal purpose in your contribution to the world?
I believe so, we are known for our shape campaign. We aim to celebrate and make women feel beautiful.
Beverly Hills Magazine: What do you hope to be remembered for most?
Pia Gladys Perey: I would like to be remembered as a mother.

Pia Gladys Perey: More time to do the things I love.
