The entrepreneur fashion designer is no stranger to building brands and turning them into a global success. At 28, the energetic Shaller created Simply Chic, a sales showroom that worked with celebrity designers including Shoshana Lonstein, Sofia Coppola, Mandy Moore, Justine Bateman, and Gail Elliot. When Lisa brought the Juicy Couture line from the west coast to the east coast to her Simply Chic showroom, it was simply a T-shirt line trying to compete with Michael Stars. It was Lisa’s drive, contacts and quick wit that got the Juicy t-shirts into stores that were resistant to bringing in a new line of T-shirts. After getting the t-shirts into the stores, Lisa designed the world famous track suit that she convinced the Juicy girls to offer –first in terry cloth and later in velour. It was that tracksuit that made Juicy Couture the worldwide success is was known for and worn by every celebrity under the sun.
Noticing a huge opportunity in the Women’s fashion market, Lisa was not thrilled with the limited options in the market for sophisticated and multi-purpose luxury clothing that were available. Lisa left her comfort zone of sales and brand building in 2006 and launched Minnie Rose. Armed with her years of experience and proven track record for spotting trends, she started designing cashmere pieces that seamlessly blended into any woman’s wardrobe, regardless of shape, size or age. The brand has garnered a cult following. Now, a multi-million-dollar business sold in over 800 stores, celebrity fans include the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Selma Blair, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, Guilana Rancic, Alessandra Ambrosio, January Jones, Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Hudgens, Christie Brinkley and more.
