Beverly Hills Magazine: What is the brand mission?

Adrienne Kronovet: Our perspective on launching with a capsule suiting collection came from our desire to create products that would generate an emotional reaction and connect with women, as the antithesis of fast fashion. Our mission is to help women be successful and so far, it’s off to a fantastic start with our original fashion pieces.

Beverly Hills Magazine: Who or what are your inspirations?

Adrienne Kronovet: My inspirations are the many female mentors that I’ve had over the years. These incredible women have influenced me in so many ways. Most importantly, they have helped me understand the importance of doing meaningful work that makes a difference. Through their active involvement in so many endeavors, I have learned that one’s journey is more rewarding when others can be made to shine.

Beverly Hills Magazine: Tell us about your creative design process?

Adrienne Kronovet: The creative process begins with answering the question “How can we help modern women be successful?” We attacked this with a clean slate, making sure we were free from any noise or expectations from the outside. Thorough research brought us to our patented Italian fabric supplier. As we did product testing, we found the most intense reactions were when we paired this black Italian fabric with a vibrant red silk stretch lining. The design team created impeccable silhouettes that can remain in any women’s wardrobe for many years. As we grow, we envision adding additional products as well as connecting with our customers in unique ways to help them be successful.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes your work unique?

Adrienne Kronovet: Our steadfast commitment to help our customers be successful makes us unique. We exist to help women as they advance in their careers and in their lives. Additionally, we’re committed to supporting American manufacturing by making our products in New York’s famed Garment District. We know our work must always uphold our uncompromising standards and stay focused on our mission.

 Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your signature as a designer?

Adrienne Kronovet: The signature of Ameliora’s launch collection is the hint of red silk lining that is as captivating as it is luxurious. The subtle tease of such a bold accent provokes an immediate reaction.

Adrienne Kronovet: The Fashion World is a unique place where the opportunities are unlimited. It’s so exciting and thrilling to be a part of this community since anything is truly possible. The people in this world are the most creative, fun, and inspiring. There are no limits to what you can achieve with an idea, commitment, and grit. I find this world both invigorating and supportive.

Beverly Hills Magazine:  What do you love most about it?

Adrienne Kronovet:  The sense of community within the Fashion World is amazing. Since moving to New York, I’ve found many mentors to educate and guide me in the various facets of the industry. The people in this industry are exceptional.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your favorite item to design?

Adrienne Kronovet: Our favorite thing happens to be whatever we’re currently working on.

We’re bold and dynamic in our thinking, which makes every single development exciting. Researching and seizing opportunities to help women be successful is my favorite part of the job.

 Beverly Hills Magazine: What makes clothing beautiful?

Adrienne Kronovet: Clothes are beautiful because of the joy and confidence they can illicit. It takes the right mix of fabric, silhouette, passion, craftsmanship and attention to detail to make a beautiful collection.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What can we look forward to from your future collection?

Adrienne Kronovet: Ameliora has a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline, and I can detail a few of them. Of course, our next group of Italian suiting silhouettes are already in sampling, and we have been working with mills in Japan and Spain to develop a novel shirting fabric. Our team has also been working with an industrial design firm out of Atlanta to analyze the construction of women’s pumps. We are diligently looking to increase the comfort of wearing heels.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What advice would you give to aspiring fashion designers out there?

Adrienne Kronovet: My advice to any aspiring designers is to be clear in your vision. Please develop a purpose as to why you want to be in this business. Once you have a reason for existing, everything else is easy. I would recommend that any aspiring designer read the best-selling book Grit by Dr. Angela Duckworth. This amazing work provides a framework for how each person controls their own destiny and reinforces the fact that anyone can be successful in life. I find myself constantly referring back to this great book as it helps remind me to keep pushing myself to achieve more.

Beverly Hills Magazine: What is your definition of style?

Adrienne Kronovet: Style is the way one chooses to present herself to the world. Clothing is an accessory to one’s style. At Ameliora, our initial collection was developed to complement one’s personal style.  Our position is that the individual is the star and our collection accentuates and brings out the best one has to offer.
