Fashion World Reinvented With Iconic Fashion Runway Shows
Floating Catwalk in Paris, France, London’s Tower Bridge, Petrona’s Twin Towers’ Skybridge in Kuala Lumpur, Luxury Cruise Ship in Dubai
Refusing to conform to the norm, entrepreneur and model Jessica Minh Anh redefined fashion runway shows in Paris, France with a new standard of style with a rare and exclusive 90 metre floating catwalk on the River Seine.
The highly anticipated J Spring Fashion Show created an illusion of models walking on water by having guests seated facing the multi-facetted glass windows of Le Jean Bruel and watch the presentation in front of them while the boat was cruising. As a result, architectural wonders such as Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre and the 37 famous bridges became the natural moving backdrop for the phenomenal catwalk.
Katarina Grey FashionSimilar to Jessica’s previous international success on England’s iconic London’s Tower Bridge and the world’s tallest PETRONAS Twin Towers’ Skybridge, the show presented an exquisite combination of Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter collections from 4 continents.
Evoking an escape from reality, Spanish sensation Katerina Grey deconstructed the classic female form using exotic fabrics, modern shapes, and dramatic lengths. Her strong and lavish color palette of black, gold, and Spanish red showed a contrast to the harmonious marriage of colors and sentiments brought to the show by Vietnamese talent Ha Linh Thu.
Ha Linh Thu FashionEmbodying the best of East and West with embroidery details and floral patterns, Linh Thu presented an interesting blend of materials and craftsmanship. English wood and leather handbags brand Black Rose Collection took a more musical approach with each bag named after a composer or an opera. The eco-friendly brand was accompanied by the high end ready wear collection from UAE designer Aiisha Ramadan, who focused on simplistic lines, statement colors such as yellow and red, and structured fit.
The smooth transformation from a soft to a more structured silhouette was also found in the Haute Couture collection by Nigerian designer Mai Atafo, who brought femininity and individuality to the grand catwalk. The enchanting dresses were accessorized with the bow-shaped sparkling pieces from Paris very own jeweler Reine Rosalie. Japanese power house Yumi Katsura integrated traditional kimono dyeing techniques into a modern sense of design and reproduced hand painted motifs into prints on silk.
Mai Atafo FashionAdding class and elegance to the special showcase, English brand Elite Sposa UK presented 25 floor length bridal dresses, which included Swarovski crystals and statement floral details. With the aim to strengthen the trend led by unconventional women, Italian brand Silvian Heach introduced the It Girl closet of both lavish red carpet style and youthful grunge-chic looks. The collection, which is called ‘Stardust’, conveys a message of fashion freedom. Paying homage to the cyclical perfection and delicate fragility of Mother Nature, Peruvian designer Carlos Vigil used silk shantung and fine botanical Chantilly lace to emulate the shapes and movements of plants throughout the year.
Yumi Katsura FashionThe VIP only event welcomed country ambassadors, luxury brand and retail group directors, department stores and boutique buyers, international fashion designers, and national and international press. Besides the one hour catwalk, guests also enjoyed a VIP networking party with drinks, canapés, and live music and took away with them a J Model Management branded gift bag of accessories, cosmetics, chocolates, and souvenirs from different parts of the world.
Carlos Vigil FashionNot only storming the fashion capital, the show also attracted over 2 million Singaporeans with the promotional video on 55” HD LED iViewSMRT screens at 53 MRT stations across the country thanks to the partnership between J Model Management and SMRT Media. Other official partners included Toni&Guy France, Make Up For Ever Academy Paris, Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, FF-Packaging Netherlands, and S’Com Europe.
With a series of history making fashion runway shows on unique catwalks around the world including London Tower Bridge, PETRONAS Twin Towers’ Skybrige, Costa Atlantica in Dubai, and the Seine in Paris, Jessica Minh Anh has undoubtedly proven her position as a style setter of the new multitalented generation. She adds that something special which the exclusive fashion world has been looking for. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
