For instance, in 2019 the Karma Automotive ushered new dawn with the unveiling of Karma Revero GT, at Shanghai Auto Show. The model featured a refreshed BMW-engine sports hybrid. A real sign of their future ambitions and willingness to collaborate with other partners.
The Comeback Journey of the Karma
In 2017 Karma automotive released Karma Revero. A revamped version of its predecessor, the Fisker Karma. The only model ever produced by Fisker Automotive before they went out of business in 2013.
However, Karma Revero is a better version, and everything is turning out right. In fact, the model won the Luxury Car of the Year award from Green Car Journal in 2018. On the same year, they produced 15 units of Karma Revero Aliso for the high-end market.
Performance and Design of the New Karma Revero
The recently unveiled Karma Revero GT is more eye-catching and better in every aspect. A better dream car than the current Revero. The upgrades are tremendous especially the 1.5L BMW twin turbocharged three-cylinder engine generator that replaced the 2L GM’s.
The battery is another significant change. The new Revero has 28 KW/h battery (old Revero had 21.4 kW/h), and these cars are now a little lighter. Hence, it’s more efficient and faster. The increase in battery capacity means an increase in the electric range. The Revero GT can cover 61 miles on EPA compared to 37 miles from the old one.
The automaker kept their promise of an overall better performing Karma. For instance, the Revero GT only needs 4.5 seconds to speed up from 0 to 60 mph, one second faster than its predecessor.
According to car magazines, the body shape of Karma has always been the sportier sedan. But, this time they added more flair to Revero GT by exploring the two-door option. A design made by Pininfarina. But, the brand maintained the lithe silhouette flowing hood and swept back cabin.
Last, Pininfarina’s partner did magic on the interiors. They incorporated white and not so white leather seat covers. Also, the multi-tone stitching and nubuck leather add a luxurious feel. While the satin aluminum trims make it look more like a luxury car.
New Price
As expected, the price tag for Karma Revero GT is considerably higher to other previous versions. To own one of these Revero dream cars, you only need to part with $139,000. Make no mistake it will be worth every penny.
