Wallace Neff designed the Spanish Colonial Revival in 1926. Howard Hughes crashed his XF-11 airplane into the living room of 805 N Linden Dr on July 7, 1946. During the flight, an engine propeller control ran out of oil so “Hughes attempted to make an emergency landing at the Los Angeles Country Club. But his luck had run out, and he drove downward short of the golf course, and into a neighborhood in Beverly Hills,” according to the aviation history website Check-Six.com.
