Shirt Dresses Will Be Your Wardrobe Staple

We all need something we can throw on at any given moment, and this year the shirt dress is said to be that thing. They’re coming in different lengths and styles, so there’s bound to be one to suit you. There are shirt dresses for day, shirt dresses for night, and shirt dresses for everything in between. Make sure you have a waist belt handy so you can cinch yourself in.

You’ll Learn to Love Yellow

This year, you’ll learn to love Yellow as much as Coldplay when you see just how popular it is. It was all over the recent catwalk shows, in the form of wellies, coats, shirts, and more. The rule is simple; if it’s any shade of yellow, providing it suits your skin tone, go ahead and buy it. You’ll look right on trend in this bright and sunny hue. Be sure to wear this lovable color in a variety of styles.

Plaid is the New Sexy style!Plaid is Going to be the New Sexy

Black was sexy once, then it was red, then it went back to black. At some point it probably transitioned back to red…you can see where I’m going with this. Red and black are probably the two sexiest colors, if that’s the look you’re going for. However, this year plaid is going to be the new sexy. No longer reserved for little girls or Swedish milk maids named Olga, plaid will look gorgeous whether you wear it in red, black, yellow, or another color entirely. Don’t miss out on this trend; you might be pleasantly surprised at how much you like it! (Image Credit)

You’ll Become a Time Traveler

Just lately, the catwalks have been taking inspiration from trends gone by. Most recently it was the 60’s and the 90’s. Just about everybody is wearing one of those little tattoo chokers, and all of a sudden people are loving huge platforms. In 2015, the 60’s and 90’s will probably still be present, but you should concern yourself more with the 70’s. That’s right; huge flares and boho vibes are the way to go.

Monochrome is Back With a Bang

Let’s be honest; monochrome never really went anywhere to begin with. However, this year it’s as big as ever and making a huge statement while it’s at it. Consider wearing some daring shapes when you rock monochrome; boxy crop tops and wide leg pants for example. If you must have a pop of color, you can try adding it in with your shoes. You could even opt for white and navy, a kind of toned down monochrome.

Culottes Aren’t Going Anywhere Any Time Soon

Culottes are probably one of the most confusing items in the fashion world. Are they pants? Is it a skirt? Who cares! They’re sassy and they confuse men, which is one thing I love about fashion.

All black everything is bad ass, but all white everything is taking over. The key to getting this look spot on is pairing different shades of white and various textures to give the look more depth. You don’t want to look like you’re going to a fancy dress party as a ghost or an angel, do you? Pictured here is Designer Phillip Lim SS2015 Runway Fashion.

Polo Tops Help Channel Your Inner Sports Goddess

Whether you’re the sporty type or not, you’ll want to be this year. Colorful polo tops add a sporty edge to any outfit, whether you’re going for full on sports goddess or sports luxe. If you’ve never tried it before, you should. Just make sure you don’t pair the look with a Burberry cap so you don’t look like a disgruntled chav or WAG.

You’ll Join the Military

Military style clothes were all over the catwalk from different designers. Not only was shades of khaki and olive the thing to be seen in, so were materials and shapes that gave us visions of being on the front line. Try to go for feminine shapes to mix things up a bit, and remember to use your trusty waist belt to cinch you in if you need it. You could even mix a few different trends on this list. Try purchasing a khaki shirt dress, for instance.

Be Bold With Color to Liven Up Your Look

2015 is not the year to be afraid of color. Yes, black can look sexy and mysterious. Yes, you could end up looking like a walking rainbow. However, you can also add a fun pop of color to your outfit using patterns, which I find much more interesting! Don’t be afraid of polka dots and stripes, and if you see them in different colors then snap them up. Try to step outside of your comfort zone a little.

Double Denim? Try Triple!

Double denim was once a huge no-no. Then it was OK. Then Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dressed up in head to toe denim and it was a no-no again. Then it was OK again. Now not double, but triple denim is a huge yes-yes in the fashion world! Can you believe how we’ve come full circle? Try to avoid Britney and Justin’s fashion faux pas and you should be completely fine. Your shoes don’t have to be denim, just FYI. Try wearing a denim shirt, denim jeans, and maybe a denim hair accessory or bag to complete your look. Mixing different shades is totally cool!

So, what do you think? Are you ready for all of the fun fashion 2015 has to bring? I hope this article has helped you. Now you can shop with confidence and look amazing wherever you go!
