There used to be a time when people wished to have the Motorola v3 Razr or Motorola Milestone, but those days are long gone along with the tech world giant’s dream of increasing the shares in the market. With the introduction of IPhones, Galaxy Series and even the Xperia Series, the company along with Nokia suffered badly. The technology company was going through a financial crisis never seen before, which hindered its technology products production. In August 2011, there came a glimpse of hope for the Motorola followers that the technology world giant, Google, would acquire Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion.

 The fans definitely started to praise Google for its effort in bringing the lost mobile beast back to life in the tech world. The main reason why Google bought the company was because it owned some 4000 + patents which meant that eventually Motorola would gain massive profits and would definitely be able to bring back the fame and following it once had. At first people thought that Google would involve Motorola in its phones but those speculations were removed after the CEO of Google, Larry Page issued the following statement;

 “The acquisition will not change our commitment to run Android as an open platform. Motorola will remain a licensee of Android and Android will remain open. We will run Motorola as a separate business. Many hardware partners have contributed to Android’s success and we look forward to continuing to work with all of them to deliver outstanding user experiences. “

 Now many are expecting Motorola to be at the head of the line for all the latest and most cutting edge technology in Google mobile software. Although Google can claim that it will be fair in keeping Android OS open, why wouldn’t it make Motorola devices its flagship?  It practically owns the tech giant. We all have heard about the Nexus Series introduced by Google, rumors are starting to float that once it gets a little bit of stability, Google will start using Motorola as its head salesmen. Google could take it a step further, working with Motorola directly to build its own flagship Android phone with the latest release. The company could take the Apple route, creating a full end-to-end product with Google hardware and software. Motorola did launch its new sets of mobile phones, RAZR series such as Motorola RAZR XT90 , RAZR D3, DROID RAZR MAX and RAZR I .

It is still in the recovery process but at least these hand sets are giving some kind of competition to the Lumia and Xperia Series.

 With huge amounts of patents in hand along with the new RAZR series, who knows…Within a few years Motorola just might get be back in the technology world as a winner like it once was . Time will tell but for now it seems as though the tech giant is in the right hands and heading in the right direction.
